Liam's Birth

Treva's baby brother Liam (William James Riley Norman) was born at 12:45 PM on Labor Day (Sept 1) after a quick 13 hours of labor. Only the last 45 minutes were scary and nearly overwhelming. He was 6 lbs 10 oz and 19.5 inches and a good nurser.

Liam's great aunt Judy made the outfit, and the blankie. She is an amazing seamstress (though I don't believe that title is correct for her level of skill).

Treva was (happily) very excited to meet her baby brother. She was also happy to see her Mama and Papa.

Baby Shower / Brunch chez Murray-Gurney

Snow!!

We had our first good snow of the year this week. Though she'd been in snow in Charlottesville, of course she didn't remember it. She H-A-T-E-D it in C-ville. Here, she was more tolerant, though she was disturbed by how cold it was to her hand, and how tough it was to get off her hand.

Family Christmas Photos

We decided to take a family photo; I neglected to put shoes on Trevie. Perhaps I should attempt to Photoshop them on lest her grandparents worry that our baby is freezing up in yankeeland.
